My research is focused on the conservation and ecological parameters of amphibians, fishes, and small mammals. My past work investigated the life history of rare fish, including the Tennessee dace (Phoxinus tennesseensis). Other projects investigated the distribution of the least weasel (Mustela nivalis) in Tennessee and the effects that litter along forest service roads has on small animals. Currently, my students are assisting me in research directed toward Southern Appalachian amphibians.
