Personnel

3.0      Purpose

The purpose of Section 3 of the VHCC Faculty & Staff Manual is to provide information concerning personnel regulations, policies, and procedures mandated by the Federal government and the Commonwealth of Virginia and delineated by the State Board for Community Colleges through the VCCS Policy Manual. Also included are locally developed policies and procedures which comply with the requirements of the aforementioned agencies and organizations. Additional information is available in Section 3 of the VCCS Policy Manual.  

Special attention is given to differences in provisions for faculty and classified employees.

Unless otherwise specifically stated, all regulations of the Virginia Personnel Act of l942, as amended, that apply to classified personnel are also applicable to faculty personnel.
