COORDINATOR OF EVENING SERVICES/DUAL
ENROLLMENT
The Coordinator of Evening Services/Dual Enrollment reports directly to the Vice
President of Instruction and Student Services and has responsibilities which
include the following:
- Providing administrative support during specified hours of the College’s evening
operation.
- Providing routine counseling/registration assistance to evening students.
- Making decisions regarding closing the College during the evening hours due to
inclement weather and unusual circumstances.
- Providing evening faculty with assistance when requested.
- Delivering messages to students and faculty as appropriate.
- Ensuring that reports of incidents on campus during the evening hours are
processed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Counseling and registering all high school students who come on campus to take
classes.
- Assisting non-curricular students in the registration process.
- Directing the Dual Enrollment Program.
- Directing the operation of the Virginia Highlands Summer Governor’s School.
- Participating in institutional effectiveness activities and processes
when requested including, but not limited to: strategic planning,
college-wide surveys, and related workshops/seminars; and implementing
appropriate institutional effectiveness processes related to evening
services and dual enrollment including, but not limited to program review,
student outcomes assessment, and annual departmental planning and evaluation
cycles, using a variety of measures and institutional data to improve
programs and processes as determined necessary and appropriate.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Vice President of
Instruction and Student Services.
