Library and Information Technology Committee

Purpose(s): The Library and Information Technology Committee is charged with the responsibility of advising the President, Vice President of Instruction and Student Services, Vice President of Financial and Administrative Services, and the Director of the Library and Instructional Services (LIS) on matters relevant to the information technology needs of the College.

The Library and Information Technology Committee is also charged with the responsibility of advising the Director of Library and Instructional Services on matters relevant to the efficient and effective operation of all aspects of the Division of Library and Instructional Services. The committee shall also strive to develop maximum use of learning resources and information technology by the faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.

Membership: The Library and Information Technology Committee shall be composed of the following:

There will be a total of eight (8) members on this committee including the student.

The Committee shall select a chairman from its membership. The Director of Library and Instructional Services shall be permanent secretary of the Committee and shall be ineligible for the Committee chairmanship.

Meeting Schedule: In order to get this Committee organized each year, the Vice President of Instruction and Student Services shall call its initial meeting as soon as possible after membership has been determined. Subsequent meetings shall be called by the chairman. Normally this Committee will meet the fourth Thursday of each month unless there are no agenda items.
