COORDINATOR – STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER

The Coordinator of the Student Success Center reports directly to the Vice President of Instruction and Student Services and has responsibilities which include the following:

Providing leadership, management, and on-site daily supervision of the Student Success Center including campus services related to new student orientation; academic, personal and career counseling; student success services and activities; career and job placement; and student development.

  1. Coordinating and supporting a liaison relationship between academic divisions and counseling staff.
     
  2. Establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships within the College community.
     
  3. Coordinating the design and delivery of instruction for student development credit courses and personal development non-credit seminars.
     
  4. Providing academic, personal, and career counseling to include transfer and curricular information.
     
  5. Administering the student development program of the College including student organizations, student activities, and awards and scholarships.
     
  6. Coordinating and assisting in the development and promotion of academic programs and curricular revisions.
     
  7. Evaluating student services programs, activities, and staff according to established college-wide criteria.
     
  8. Participating in institutional effectiveness activities and processes when requested including, but not limited to: strategic planning, college-wide surveys, and related workshops/seminars; and implementing appropriate institutional effectiveness processes related to the Student Success Center including, but not limited to annual departmental planning and evaluation cycles, using a variety of measures and institutional data to improve programs and processes as determined necessary and appropriate.
     
  9. Serving on College committees.
     
  10. Participating in College, community, and professional activities.
     
  11. Fulfilling other functions as assigned by the Vice President of Instruction and Student Services.
