My section 50 courses are synchronous distance education courses.  This means they are offered in real time as opposed to asynchronous distance courses where you work through material at your own pace and submit assignments.  With my courses you actually log into the class lecture from your computer.  You can participate in the class asking questions and responding during the lecture.  Classes are recorded so you can also log in and watch the lecture if you have to miss a class.  That makes it possible to take the class in your own time frame, but you would have to e-mail questions to the instructor since the class wouldn't actually be in session when you were watching it.

If you enroll in one of my section 50 courses you will be able to log into my traditional section class at whatever time it is listed in the class schedule.  Tests can be taken on campus with the in-class students or at an approved test site if you are not in the VHCC service region.
