I started teaching mathematics at Virginia Highlands Community College in 1989 and transferred to Wytheville Community College in 2004.  I transferred back to VHCC in fall 2007. 

I received my B.S. in mathematics and biology from Averett University.  I earned an M.Ed.  in mathematics education from the University of Georgia and an Ed.D. from the University of Virginia.
