Assignment 12:

This is the first assignment of Module 2.  The Major Quiz, on Module 1, should be completed this week.

Module 1 consisted of the text's review chapter, and an introduction to the calculus ideas that are developed more completely and rigorously in the text beginning with Chapter 2.

Complete qa_12, read text section 2.1 and 2.2, do the assigned text problems (see the 'Text_12' link), view the Class Notes then complete query_12.

The qa_12 assignment has proven to be an effective introduction to the process of taking of composites of basic functions.  Class notes focus mainly on the derivative function and the construction of graphs.
