To avoid potential problems with simulations and graphing programs
 

Most computers will run most of the programs used in your course.  Some programs involve graphics, however, and a small but significant number of students are using computers which lack a necessary file and will not run these programs.  If this happens the following error message will occur:

Component "COMDLG32.OCX" is not correctly registered.

The current version of Step 1 is described below:

1. Component "COMDLG32.OCX" is not correctly registered.
Component COMDLG32.OCX or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. How do I fix this?

Firstly, download "COMDLG32.OCX" and copy it into the \Windows\System32 directory. Download COMDLG32.OCX from http://www.graphic-converter.net/download/comdlg32.ocx

Secondly, open the run dialog box from Start/Run ... and enter command

 

Regsvr32 Your_Windows_Full_Path\system32\comdlg32.ocx


to register the DLL.

If this does not fix the problem, download and install install-ocx.exe.
Download install-ocx.exe from http://www.graphic-converter.net/download/install-ocx.exe
