1 Which object did you choose and what were the three positions and the three clock times?
I choose the pendulum. Timer Distance
59.25 2 inches
59.58 10 inches
59.91 17 inches
2 If you did take observations of positions and clock times, how accurately do you think you could determine the positions, and how accurately do you think you would know the clock times?
With the picture being as blurry as it is maybe with in a half inch. And as far as time even more difficult because your dealing with hundreths and tenths of a second.
3 How can you use observations to determine whether the tape rolling along an incline is speeding up or slowing down?
Stop and play the video and record position and timer data. Then take the data and determine if the velocity increases or decreases between points.
4 How can you use your observations to determine whether the swinging pendulum is speeding up or slowing down?
The pendulum is going to speed up as it goes down and slow down as it goes up. Doing an average rate at which velocity changes between the first two points the pendulum moved at
24.2 inches/s and between the last two points the pendulum was moving at 21.2 inches/s. This is a roug estimate.
