Professor Smith,

I truly appreciate the feedback. I was really stressing out thinking that I had let myself get behind. Now I guess I can stop stressing out before I let the stress get me behind.

But I do not have a problem with the access code or how to access my portfolio. I should have made that clear. I did receive the attachment a few day ago. I was trying to access the Introductory Problem Sets #1-7. I wanted to work the problems before I moved on. Below is the information which came from the Physics I Homepage in the Assignments Page, 0-4. That is where I keep getting an error message:

Server Error 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

It says that those questions are a part of assignment 0. Please advise.

•Introductory Problem Sets, Set 1, #'s 1-7

•Solve each problem in this set before you look at its solution; always at least make your best attempt at a solution before reading the given solution. Then read the solution and take notes.

•Keep practicing until you can completely solve the problems, which change every 5 minutes, without consulting the solutions.

•Be sure you understand every given solution, including all the reasoning and not just the shortest way to get a right answer. Everything in this course builds on things you have learned before, so begin the course with good mastery of the ideas presented in the given solutions.

•Be sure you understand that the problems in the above link change every 5 minutes. If you prefer to use a 'static' version of the problem sets you may just click on Static Version of Introductory Problem Sets. However note that the static version shows only one version of each problem; most problems have more than one version, and the numbers used in the problems of the non-static version also change every 5 minutes.

@& I'm at an off-campus computer and just checked those addresses. I had no trouble getting to the problems. I'm not hearing of problems from other students, so it's difficult to tell what's happening.

If you can send me a copy the address of each page you encounter I can look into this further.

To see what page you are on you can right-click on that page and click on Properties. Within the resulting box you can highlight and copy the address of the page.

When I go to the page at

http://vhcc2.vhcc.edu/ph1fall9/frames_pages/assignments.htm

and click on the link in Assignment 1 to Introductory Problem Sets I am taken to the page

http://vhmthphy.vhcc.edu/ph1introsets/default.htm

There is see a menu of Introductory Problem Sets.

If I click on the link

'Set 1: Uniform Speed, Distance, Time Interval (Velocity, Displacement, `dt)',

or if I scroll down a little ways until I see Set 1 problems, I find a link entitled

'Set 1: Problem 1'.

Clicking on this link I am taken to the link

http://vhmthphy.vhcc.edu/ph1introsets/set_1/zpb01b4.htm

The b4 within that link will every 5 minutes, but otherwise the link will be the same as that given above.
