I am working on Phy 122 asst 5 lab raising water in a vertical tube. The instructions state You will need a standard 2-liter plastic bottle to perform this experiment. The instructions as posted show the stopper with tubes inserted through it; instead of the stopper you should use the standard bottle cap with three tubes, which was included with your lab kit. The bottle cap is easier to use than was the stopper.

I have the lab kit from the bookstore, but do not have a bottle cap with three tubes in it. After reading through the lab, I think I can do the experiment with what I do have. I have a bottle cap with one tube with 46cm of tube above the cap and 12 cm of tube below the cap. I have a 12 oz bottle.

Should I do the experiment with what I have or wait for a different bottlecap? Thanks.

Wait for the bottlecap. I realized the omission on Friday and immediately sent out a package with the bottlecaps and a couple of other items I already knew to be missing (the other items won't be required for awhile). However I believe there was an unexpected delay in Friday's mail run, so the package might not go out until Monday.
I apologize for the omission, which was simply an oversight on my part.
