Mr. Smith,
I may just be worrying too much and I really really hate to bother you about the same thing, but it has been awhile since I've taken one of your classes and wasnt sure if this is normal. My test 2 and final grade haven't been posted and tomorrow is the last day of the semester - I'm hoping/guessing that you have a lot of students and just havent gotten a chance to post grades yet. However, if the testing center has misplaced them I need to go speak with them.
Unfortunately, my father passed away this month and I have spent a lot of time with family instead of getting caught up on the homework. I believe I made an A on all the tests and final, understand all concepts, as well as completed all the labs. Based of the syllabus I was trying to do enough homework to get a 90 (A) and it seemed the hmwk completion would count for 8 points of the total grade. Once again I apologize for asking you about this again, I did email you as requested last time but didnt see a response. I fear my emails are probably getting caught in junk mail or something.
If grades will be posted after the semester I am fine with that; I just went into panic mode when I saw I only have 2 tests accounted for in a class I need for medical school!
Thanks again!

I believe I have everything. I have had your Test 2 for some time and am not sure why the grade isn't posted, but I'll be sorting all that out tomorrow and Saturday.
I haven't yet graded the exam, but I think you're in good shape. In practice I usually don't give a grade lower than the test and lab average; the homework grade comes into play if mostly for students who are close to but on the wrong side of a borderline.
I'm sorry to hear about your father.
