Hello. On my access page 00-81-973 there is a link dated 1/17/09 and it is not from me or my work.

I did the orientation but have seen no feedback from that. I can't locate my SEND file.

I am unclear what the process is for working the problems and where to put them. When I went to the submit work page and clicked on a problem it was a problem about odd and even numbers and which group. this did not correlate to the problems in the book. Do I write the problems in and then answer?

Where is this information, I can't seem to locate the how to for the above.

Note that your email address is edr2159@email.vccs.edu, not edr2159@email.vccs.org. You got the first part right so the error wouldn't cause a mis-posting of your work, but had I not caught the error you wouldn't be receiving this message.

When a student submits work without an access code, the program can sometimes default and assign the last access code it encountered. You can ignore such postings, which without identifying information are impossible to restore to the individuals who actually submitted them.

It's good that you are able to locate your Access site. Some students still do not seem to realize that they should be doing so.

I don't show where you have submitted anything either via the Orientation forms or via the Submit Work form, except for the 1/28 posting (be sure to see my notes). Searching every submission of the Orientation forms I find a number of submissions by students who share your last name, but they all include their first names and their correct access codes.

If you successfully submit a form you get a Form Confirmation from the server. If the submission is unsucccessful (which is rare) you will get a message indicating this.

Which of the instructions for the Orientation have you followed? Please include copies of those instructions and tell me in detail (keystroke by keystroke) what you have done for each step. Don't worry about Steps 1 and 2, which you have completed successfully.

Have you run the q_a_prelim (Step 3 of the Orientation)?

If so, you should have the c:\vhmthphy folder on your computer. If not, you won't.

Does the c:\vhmthphy folder appear on your computer?

A direct link to your Assignments page is

http://vhcc2.vhcc.edu/dsmith/lib1/

Using this link you should be able get started with the text, which should give you less trouble than the Orientation has. However you will need to complete the Orientation as well in order to understand how to submit your work.

Don't worry about being a little late. The last students registered for this course earlier this afternoon. I tell them to catch up gradually over the course of the term. The actual content of your course isn't particularly difficult, and students who do their work almost always succeed.

Make a copy of these questions, insert your answers and submit them using either the Submit Work Form or the Question Form. Also email me a copy.
