Problem 61 in Sullivan textboook
y = 5-3sin(2x)
** **
I know the period is pi. The textbook's answer says the coordinates are (0,5) (pi/4,8)(pi/2,5)(3pi/4,2)(pi,5). I do not get those coordinates. This function looks like several others just wrote differently with the vertical shift at the beginning instead of the end. When I graph it I get(5,0)(pi/4,2)(pi/2,5)(3pi/4,8)(pi,5). Shouldn't the sin graph be flipped? Is the book wrong or am I missing something?

@& I agree with the points you list. The points you report from the text would correspond to 5 + 3 sin(2 x).
No stones to throw here. Sullivan has very few errors, but occasionally they do slip through.*@
