An automobile rolls 10 meters down a constant incline with slope .05 in 8 seconds, starting from rest. The same automobile requires 5 seconds to roll the same distance down an incline with slope .10, again starting from rest.

• At what average rate is the automobile's acceleration changing with respect to the slope of the incline?

answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :

Velocity of the first incline is 10m/8s = 1.25m/s for a slope of 0.05

Velocity of the second incline is 10m/5second = 2m/s for a slope of .1

The change in velocity is 2 – 1.25 = .75 m/s

The change in slope is .1 - .05 = .05

.75/.05 = the rate is changing at 15 m/s with respect to the incline

You are using average velocities where you should be using changes in velocity. Right ideas, but you have to be more specific with the term 'velocity'.
