Brief Bottle Experiment Siphon

I cannot get the siphon going in Brief Bottle Experiment 1C - Siphoning water into an empty sealed container

I don't know how to get the siphon started if the empty bottle is sealed. I cannot suck on that end since that end is in the sealed bottle. Do I start the siphon going and then seal the bottle? Even then, I need to start one bottle lower, not adjacent.

Any advice?

If you get the siphon started, you can then raise the free end (which would be the one with the cap on it) to the level of the water in the first bottle, or just a little higher than that level. Then with the end still at that level, screw the cap on the empty bottle. The tube should reach the bottom of that bottle.

If you then lower the bottle the siphon should start. As soon as the tube is full you can raise the bottle to the same level as the first. The siphoning should continue, but for reasons you'll want to think about it won't last very long.

Week 4 Labs Deferred

I ordered my lab kit today. A few of the labs due for Week 4 seem to require items from the lab kit. I plan to do all the Week 4 labs that I can do without the lab kit this week. Then once I get the lab kit, I will quickly try to catch up on those labs I deferred.

Good. Lab materials should have been ready a week earlier, but various factors delayed them.
