I underestimated the time it would take to complete all the orientation assignments. I have been plowing through them, putting in about 10 hours so far with 7 of those hours today 8/28. I can probably manage another 5 hours tomorrow, but I'm not confident that I will complete all of these assignments by the end of the day on 8/29.
I think I will need one more day to satisfactorily complete all of these assignments. I am confident that I can rearrange my schedule going forward and be able to complete all subsequent assignments on the assigned due dates.
I respectfully request a one day extension.

You'll be glad to know that these assignments aren't due until the end of week 1, which doesn't even start until Thursday.
Still, now that you're actually ahead of the curve, try to stay that way. It takes less time in the long run.
