Figures for Intro Questions 6
** **
I can't open the figures that accompany the intro questions 6.4, 6.5 and 6.6. For other questions like this I have been able to reason out the problems without seeing the graph, but for these three I think I need to see the graph.
When I click on the figure and try to open or view it different ways I get an error 404.
Any ideas how to work around this?
Thanks,
@&
The problem for #4 gives you the coordinates of two points and asks you to find the corresponding area. You don't need to see a graph to do this; the two points and the horizontal axis define a trapezoid, as described in the given solution.
I'm not having a problem seeing the graphs for #5 and #6.
However a description:
Each graph is superimposed on a grid, and the horizontal and vertical scale of each grid is specified in the statement of the problem.
I'll specify points in 'gridline coordinates', which you can then translate to the scale specified in the problem.
The graph for #5 starts at (0, 2.5), runs fairly straight to (1, 3), then increases at an increasing rate to (2, 4.8), reaches a peak at about (2.5, 6.9), then decreases smoothly to a relative minimum or 'low point' at about (3.6, 5.9) before rising to about (4.9, 7).
The graph for #6 starts at (0, 7) and decreases at an increasing rate (i.e., in a concave down manner) to the point (13, 2.7), passing through (7, 5).
The URL's of these images are

The problems are randomized with a possible variety of images. If you change the 054 in the URL of the first image to 051 or 053 you will get additional graphs.
It's entirely possible that the versions of these problems you were viewing had incorrect URL's. Numbers not in the range from 051 thru 054 appear to result in error 404. The problems change every 5 minutes, and from what I'm seeing either I'm getting lucky or most versions of the problems use correct URL's.
