Your work on timer program has been received. Scroll down through the document to see any comments I might have inserted, and my final comment at the end.

Your General Comment

On the last question, I was supposed to click to file data and it would not work. The program told me to simply copy and paste my work. Sorry for the inconvenience. I have still not received my book and DVD's. I ordered them from the bookstore last week and every time I call, they tell me a new date that they shipped out. Hopefully I will get them soon so that I do not fall behind:)

Describe what you see on your first 10 clicks

I se a list of 2 columns with ten numbers in each column.

Your average time interval for 20 time intervals

0.1492

I added all of the intervals together and divided by 20.

Your frequency distribution for the 20 time intervals (interval, number of times it was observed)

.1328125, 2

Your general comment to this point

Why did you observe only certain time intervals?

I dont think that it is useless, but im not sure why it would have repeat intervals at such precision.

What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals?

The differences are also repeditive. The timer program has certain intervals where it stops. It is not able to determine such precise intervals.

Your time intervals for 7 complete breaths:

2.882813

3.476563

3.148438

3.359375

3.328125

3.234375

3.273438

3.414063

Your general comment to this point:

Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice?

Since the time intervals were longer, the timer did not have to read the intervals with such great precision.

Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ...

I think that a is correct. The timer can only accurately determine the time between two events within about .1 second because at .01 seconds, the intervals begin to get repeditive.

Copy of a few lines of your spreadsheet from the TIMER program.
