The same automobile requires 5 seconds to roll the same distance down an incline with slope .10, again starting from rest.
At what average rate is the automobile's acceleration changing with respect to the slope of the incline?

= 1.25 m/s / 8 s
= 0.15625 m/s^2

Your values for the accelerations are therefore off by a factor of two.*@

delta(a)/delta(slope) = (a_2 - a_1) / (slope_2 - slope_1)
= (0.25 m/s^2 - 0.156 m/s^2) / (0.10 - 0.05)
= 1.875 m/s^s-slope
