** Your average time interval for 20 time intervals **
.14550784
There are only 19 fast-click intervals in your data so your average might be a little higher that that; otherwise fine.
I added all numbers together and then divided by 20
** Your frequency distribution for the 20 time intervals (interval, number of times it was observed) **
0.109375, 3
0.1132813, 1
0.15625, 1
0.1601563, 7
0.1679688, 3
0.171875, 4
** Your general comment to this point **
** Why did you observe only certain time intervals? **
** What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals? **
the clock is only accurate up to a certain point. After this point it simply rounds the numbers, or rounds to the correct number of significant figures according to the acciracy of the clock.
** Your time intervals for 7 complete breaths: **
3.898438
5.050781
4.339844
5.160156
4.941406
5.277344
4.992188
4.926743
5.378906
** Your general comment to this point: **
** Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice? **
because the accuracy increases with the longer time intervails. the reason being the fast clicks only leave so much time between while the longer breaths are more liekly to be registered at different numbers.
** Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ... **
d. Because of the number of significant figures that were displayed on the readout for information.
** Copy of a few lines of your spreadsheet from the TIMER program. **
