My question is into reference of week 2: query lbl
070113.exe, assignment 4. The first question in this query,
2.4.12, I believe is asking us to draw a Venn Diagram.
That's what the book states also. Or perhaps are we to just
explain it in paragraph form? The reason I'm asking is that
in a prior assignment I think we were to draw something. I
was never able to get my computer to run that program from
the orientation that would allow me to due so. If we are to
draw diagrams, i don't have that capability at my home
computer. What can I do?
Describe your drawing.
If you have three intersecting circles, representing sets A, B and C, then the universal set is divided into 8 distinct regions.
You may use the following convention:
Region I is the part of A that doesn't overlap B or C.
Region II is the part of A that overlaps B but is not part of C.
Region III is the part of B that doesn't overlap A or C.
Region IV is the region that is part of all three sets.
Region V is the part of A that overlaps C but is not part of B.
Region VI is the part of B that overlaps C but is not part of A.
Region VII is the part of C that doesn't overlap A or B.
Region VIII is the part of the universal set that doesn't overlap any of the sets A, B, C.
If you use this convention, include a copy of this note.
