Force vector lab

** **

** **

I have been working on this lab for a while and I am struggling to find the forces in this problem. I got the length just fine.

In the first line give the information for the 'vertical' rubber band.

In the second line give the information for the rubber band which slopes up and to the left..

In the third line give the information for the rubber band which slopes up and to the right.

Starting the fourth line give a brief explanation, in your own words, of what the numbers you have reported mean and how you determined your forces.

Your answer (start in the next line):

10.0 cm

9.1 cm

7.8 cm

How to find forces in the lab

@&

In the rubber band calibration lab you reported the following data for the forces exerted by the various rubber bands at different lengths:

8.3, 6.7, 8.6, 7.5, 6.4, 8.5, 0.19 N

8.3, 6.9, 8.7, 7.6, 6.6, 8.7, 0.38 N

8.5, 7.2, 8.8, 7.8, 6.9, 8.8, 0.57 N

8.5, 7.3, 8.8, 7.8, 7.0, 8.9, 0.76 N

8.6, 7.3, 8.9, 8.0, 7.0, 9.0, 0.95 N

8.6, 7.4, 9.0, 8.0, 7.2, 9.0, 1.14 N

You also constructed graphs of force vs. length.

I recommend using the appropriate graphs to estimate the forces at the lengths you report here.
