Insights:I started it off by 1 m / s and having the acceleration at 1 m / s ^ 2.
I then played it and I saw that at each second the m / s is increased by one.
So at the first second the m / s would be to 2 m / s then at the 2nd second the velocity would be 3 m / s.
I didn't grasp the idea of acceleration until now. So whatever the acceleration is that would add to the velocity for each second that passes.
Another one was I started it off by 1 m / s and had the acceleration at 2 m / s ^ 2.
The first second it changed the velocity to 3 m / s then the 2nd second it changed it to 5 m / s.
Like I mentioned before that the acceleration changes the velocity for each second that passes.
I then, with the same velocity of 1 m / s, added more acceleration. I put the acceleration to 3 m / s.
Before playing the moving man I thought, from previous experiments, that one the 2nd second the velocity would reach 4 m / s then on the third second it would reach 7 m /s.
So after playing it I was right. After playing the first two experiments I know more about acceleration.
Now with having the velocity at a positive number and then the acceleration at a negative number we can see this..
Velocity is 1 m / s and acceleration is -1 m / s.
Once the velocity reaches the first meter it then does a negative turn to do a 1 m / s backwards because of the negative acceleration.
Then once it reaches the 3rd second that it is when it starts to add on the 1 m / s from the acceleration.
So the velocity will be the same as it is set but once it goes for the third second and on it starts adding more velocity because of the acceleration.
So because of these observations I gain more understanding to what acceleration is and how it is connected to velocity."
