343 Projectile Motion

I understand that acceleration in a ideal projectile is constant and the direction is going down. My question is is the acceleration vector gravity?
Since the acceleration vector is pointing down and constant thus it being gravity? And since gravity is ~9.806 m/s^2 that would be the acceleration vector?

Is the acceleration vector in a ideal projectile gravity?
@&
The acceleration vector is the acceleration of gravity. It acts downward, so it affects vertical motion but not horizontal motion.
Thus the vertical acceleration of a projectile is 9.8 m/s^2 downward, and the horizontal acceleration is zero.
