It's not flawed, just not programmed to round off when necessary. It's useful, just not perfect

it takes the last two time intervals and tells the difference between the two. This tells you whether the clicking is speeding up or slowing down, or staying at a constant rate.

because there is too much variation and possiblity in time intervals between breaths, as compared to just clicking as fast as you can.
