A ball is moving at 10 cm/s when clock time is 4 seconds, and at 40 cm/s when clock time is 9 seconds.
Sketch a v vs. t graph and represent these two events by the points (4 sec, 10 cm/s) and (9 s, 40 cm/s).
answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :
some how i am not able to paste my graph over here.
you can't paste a graph into a text form
you are expected to describe your graph in words, using the language of the Describing Graphs exercise
however the description isn't really necessary in this case
Sketch a straight line segment between these points.
answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :
What are the rise, run and slope of this segment?
answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :
The rise would be 40-10=30
and the run would be 9-4 =5
so the slop of the statment would be rise / run = 30/5 = 6
These quantities have units, which must be specified with the quantities.
What is the area of the graph beneath this segment?
answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :
showes change in velocity. (i am not sure in this one)
