Good morning,
I'm writing to inform you of my situation. There are a number of things that are adding up to make it very difficult for me to access the internet and complete my assignments.
With the storms that have come through in the last couple of weeks we have lost 2 significant sized branches on a tree in our yard - - they have taken our phone line/internet abilities. We've also lost power a number of times (Incidently, we are currently without). Somewhere in the middle of those difficulties my laptop decided to called it quits as well. Unexpectedly, I HAVE been able to turn it on a few times and do some assigments from work or someone elses house... but after working with it at my parent's this morning, I'm convinced it's finally met it's maker.
Needless to say, it's been a real pain and struggle. To my horror, I realized last night that the schedule of yours, I'd been going by up until this point, was not compatible with this summer session. I have explored around your site in earlier weeks to locate the correct dates, but was unable to locate it. I've just discovered that I need to finish about 8-9 wks of work and tests in 4.
All that to say, I felt like it was important to make you aware of my situation... and the troubles I've been having, since it would obviously appear that I've been slacking. This math class is my final course I need to graduate. My gpa is high and I really want to keep it that way, so I will do everything in my power to catch up quickly.

You've been doing excellent work.
If necessary I'll be able to give you an extension until the end of August, which should allow you to catch up at a less frantic pace.
