Timer Program

Yesterday I downloaded the timer program and it gave me the option to run the program and I chose that and then my computer froze. I restarted my computer and it came up with a blue screen and would not let me exit. It said something about windows was trying to keep the computer from a crash and that it needed to verify all files on C drive which is where the timer program saved to. Then after probably 10 minutes of longer it gave the option to remove files that may be harmful and it gave the option to delete the one from yesterdays date. That was the only program I had run that day and so I removed it and my computer seems to be fine. Any suggestions on what I should do. With all my other classes I cant afford to lose my computer to a crash. The next oppertunity I could do it on a computer in the library would be on Tuesday because I work the remainder of the weekend and I go to school and work until close on Monday. Would Tuesday be acceptable to submit this assignment? I think the problem may have to do with my anitvirus/spyware program but I am so afraid my computer will crash.
Thanks

Tuesday will be fine. Don't risk a meltdown.
However, do back up your stuff. The behavior you describe is not normal. I've never heard of one of these programs causing such a response, though with antivirus programs anything is possible.
