I'm just checking in per your instructions in your reply to my previous question submission (reprinted below).

------------

As I believe we discussed earlier, I'm expecting to provide you with alternative labs [URL given in earlier discussion: http://vhcc2.vhcc.edu/dsmith/forms/accelerated_labs.htm] using probes and a Vernier interface. I had intended to have that available before now, but it turns out that certain interfaces were bought with trust fund money, which prevents their leaving campus. I had anticipated that I would have the numbers of those interfaces by Friday, but I haven't received them yet. As soon as I know which ones those are, I'll get them to the bookstore.

I'll be able to double-check Monday with the person who will be giving me the information.

The first round of collaborative labs is underway. The process is a little complicated due to a few students dropping the course. I didn't include you in this round, my thought being that once we get the results part of your task will be to corroborate them with more accurate equipment.

Get back to me on this Monday and I'll give you an update. I have everything together so I should be able to get everything set up with the bookstore as soon as I have the numbers.

How did your discussions with the bookstore go, and what information did the people there have?

Also, thanks for going to all these lengths for me and dealing with the red tape re: the funding restrictions and other logistical hassles. Both you and the bookstore's Curt/Kurt (if I recall his name correctly) have been VERY helpful on this front.

I've gotten the necessary serial numbers and intended to get the materials to the bookstore today. However when testing the interface I ran into problems with some of the probes, and wasn't able to get it to the bookstore on time. I told Curtis I would be able to get cost information and the package to him tomorrow afternoon. I expect that there will be a $25 handling charge, and that you will also be responsible for replacement cost if they aren't returned. Curtis will of course give you the details of the agreement.

The materials will consist of a Vernier LabPro interface as well as motion, force, and sound sensors, all of which work, plus photogates (provided I can get them to behave), a good pulley and a rotary motion sensor (again, provided I can get it to behave). There will also be a cable and software to give you the option to run the interface from your computer.
