I was using microsoft word, since it copys the graphs and all the formatting of the website making it easier. However on my more recent work i've just been using notepad and switching back and forth between notepad and the internet to see graphs or formatting where ever it is difficult to view on notepad.

Word seems to be the common culprit here.

However you can go back to Word, which has otherwise been doing a good job. I've modified my program to recognize the essential strings even when the spaces are missing (very simple and obvious fix, once I figured out what was causing the problem).
