Weeks 7-10, Through Test #1

I do not understand what it means by THROUGH (data), as well as it says weeks 1-6, through major quiz, but I see no links to quiz's/

** **

when it says through, does that mean that the last week stated is when im to finish the major grade. Example, weeks 1-6, through major quiz, does this mean on the sixth week I am to do this major quiz. Then it says week 7-10, through test #1, does this mean I am to do test#1 on week 10.

Also I do not see the links to the quiz's, are these to be done at the proctor site?

Have you communicated with proctors yet? Should I check into my site and see if they have the materials?

Check the Testing Information for answers to most of your questions.

You should take the test within about a week after completing the associated assignments.

Your proctor arrangement will not be a problem, but email me so I can confirm having sent the information to Ms. Dye.

personal problems 1

On occasion, I do math problems just for fun, or to make sure I can still do them. I ran into one I don't understand how to solve. So I have two questions.

1.) I know you are pretty busy (or at least assume you are, looking at all the classes you teach, and that doesnt even show me what is behind the scenes) but I was wondering if you would answer these type of questions that aren't directly related to the course. If so, I have a few questions I'd like to ask (involving math).

2. If you will answer my questions, here is the way the question was set up:

How much pure acid should be mixed with 7 gallons of a 40% acid solution in order to get a 70% acid solution.

@&

Glad to answer.

If x is the amount of pure acid added, you will end up with

.40 * 7 + x = 2.8 + x gallons of acid and

7 + x gallons of solution

so the concentration will be

(2.8 + x) / (7 + x).

Set this equal to .70 and solve.
