The problem:
A ball starts with velocity 4 cm/sec and ends with a velocity of 10 cm/sec.
What is your best guess about the ball's average velocity?
answer/question/discussion: I think it would be 7 cm/sec. I got this answer by first adding 4 & 10 and then divided by 2.
Without further information, why is this just a guess?
answer/question/discussion: In my case it is because I can’t think of another way to come up with this answer. Please let me know if I’m on the right track.
If it takes 3 seconds to get from the first velocity to the second, then what is your best guess about how far it traveled during that time?
answer/question/discussion: I really have no idea, because I don’t know where it was going or how far or where it was when it started.
You have calculated the average velocity. What is the definition of average velocity? How is average velocity related to the question of 'how far' and 'how long did it take'--i.e., to the displacement and the time interval?
At what average rate did its velocity change with respect to clock time during this interval?
answer/question/discussion: I have no idea.

there were two questions I had no idea how to get. Please let me know
