** Your General Comment **

** Describe what you see on your first 10 clicks **

I see two columns of numbers. The left column is a list of the number of seconds the program has been active since I started the program, and the right columns is the interval of time between clicks.

** Your average time interval for 20 time intervals **

0.146306818

I opened up Excel and typed in the value of each interval and then performed the average function.

** Your general comment to this point **

** Why did you observe only certain time intervals? **

** What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals? **

That the smallest interval that the timer can keep is 0.01563 seconds.

** Your time intervals for 7 complete breaths: **

6.84375

** Your general comment to this point: **

You breathe a lot slower than I do. Does that make you more cardiovasculary fit?=)

Could be that I have a higher lung capacity and a lower metabolism. Lung capacity has always been pretty high. I'm in good shape for my age, but you appear to be in pretty good shape for your age, and given our ages there is simply no way I'm in better shape than you are. Breathing rates notwithstanding.

** Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice? **

This is more likely to be expected, because the same margin of error would cause a greater difference when the intervals increased with the collected data.

** Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ... **

B, because the smallest interval between the intervals is the unit of time in which the clock speed of the computer limits the timer. This means that the computer is limited a unit of time no smaller than about 0.015625,or 1/64 of a second.
