HOMEWORK HELP
** **
I understand that some of the information that we are completing the homework on we should already know, however since it has been sometime since I was in a Math Class I struggle to remember. Before class started I purchased the book recommended by the book store. The book is Sullivan Pre-Cal Edition 8. I notice that no where in the homework does it state where to study/learn the information. Is there anyway you could tell me where in the book I can go to get help?

The first chapter of your text has sections listed something like the following:
Table of Contents
1. Graphs
1.1 The Distance and Midpoint Formulas; Graphing Utilities; Introduction to Graphing Equations
1.2 Intercepts; Symmetry; Graphing Key Equations
1.3 Solving Equations Using a Graphing Utility
1.4 Lines
1.5 Circles
This is all material you should know from prerequisite courses, but it is rare that anyone comes into this course actually knowing it all.
I suggest you review by going through Sections 1.1 and 1.2.

Or is you can tell me what the topics are for the homework assignments then I can look in the index in the book. I just don't know what the problems are called when we are working on them. Any suggestions?

The course materials are in the worksheets, which do include explanations.
The qa's start with ideas with which you should be familiar from your prerequisite courses. Naturally, as you say, if it's been awhile since you had those courses you might not know how to do. In that case you will need to self-critique the very first problem, breaking it down phrase by phrase and telling me what you do and do not understand about it so I can provide you with some well-focused guidance.
That problem asks you to sketch a graph with three points, and sketch a smooth curve passing through them. I do recall that you had some difficulty with graph-related exercises in the Initial Activities. It is possible that your prerequisite course was deficient in this aspect, and if so you'll need to fill in the gap (with my help and likely that of other Internet resources).
If you submit the first qa, or even just the first few questions, up to the point where you run into trouble, we can go from there.
