** Your average time interval for 20 time intervals **

27.066405 seconds

I obtained this number by adding all 20 numbers and dividing by 20 to get the average.

&#The time intervals between your quick clicks were consistently less than .25 second. So your mean time interval, which is very much greater than any of the times between your quick clicks, cannot be correct.

This discrepancy probably resulted from including in the averaging process one or more time intervals which do not represent times between quick clicks. &#

Please respond with a copy of this question, a copy of any other part of this document you wish to include, and an appropriate response. Your response might be an answer to a question, a revision of your original response, or a question indicating what you do and do not understand about the situation along with a request for clarification. As your title use the 'response title' suggested above (just copy and paste that title into the Title box of the Submit Work form); if no suggested title was given use your own title.

** Your general comment to this point **

** Why did you observe only certain time intervals? **

I don't think the timer is useless but it is practically impossible to have an exact measurement of time because the motions are occuring so quickly. As we seen with the tape rolling down the incline, it is impossible to find exact velocities at every specific point in time because velocity is constantly changing; as is the case with time.

** What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals? **

Some of the numbers are tending to repeat each other one after ther other. This could tell us that the timer is a little flawed because it is almost impossible for our muscles to produce the same motion in the exact amount of time one after the other.

** Your general comment to this point: **

** Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice? **

With the fast clicks maybe the computer didn't have enough time to register the fact that you actually clicked two separate times. However, with the slow click, the time intervals would be more exact because the computer has time to register the difference instead of producing the same number twice in a row.

** Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ... **

b. I think the timer is fairly accurate but I don't think it is within .1 second. Therefore, I chose option b.

I answered the questions as best I could. However, I am very eager to hear your feedback!

&#Very good responses, but please see my note regarding the average time interval between quick clicks and respond as indicated. You should not find it difficult to locate and correct the error. Be sure to ask if you can't do so quickly. &#
