The problem:

Answer the following:

• How accurately do you think you can measure the time between two events using the TIMER program?

answer/question/discussion:

I would estimate to the .01 place because of the timer interval being around .01375 or so.

• What is the shortest time interval you think you would be able to measure with reasonable accuracy?

answer/question/discussion:

0.1s because I can’t click the button faster.

• How does the percent error in timing intervals change as the time between the events gets smaller?

answer/question/discussion:

Percent error gets much larger as the time between events gets smaller since the time interval is fixed.

• How accurately are you able to measure the positions of the ball and the pendulum in the initial video?

answer/question/discussion:

Due to the frame rate the clock intervals are not as accurate as the timer. I would guess around 0.1s accuracy. Since the tape measure is unreadable I would also guess that I could estimate with 0.1in accuracy.
