The percent error in timing intervals changes as the time between the events gets smaller because you are having to click the timer button quicker for closer events.

How accurately are you able to measure the positions of the ball and the pendulum in the initial video?

You are able to measure the position of the ball and the pendulum in the initial video not real accurate because you can not see the measurements on the measuring tape behind them so you can not really tell how far they travel per second.
