Randomized Problem Version1An object travels a distance of 32 cm in 17.6 seconds from start to finish. If its acceleration is uniform and its initial velocity zero, then what are its average velocity, acceleration and final velocity?
The average velocity will be: vAve = ds/dt = 32cm/17.6sec =1.82cm/sec
The final velocity will be: vAve = (vf + vo)/2 , we know that vo = 0, so vf = 2*vAve = 1.82cm/sec*2 =3.64cm/sec
The acceleration will be: a = (vf - vo)/dt = (3.64cm/sec)/ 17.6sec = 0.21cm/sec^2
Very good work. Let me know if you have questions.
