** How does the system behave and how does it 'feel'? **
As I sqeeze the bottle gently, the water begins to rise in the vertical tube and the trapped water in the horizontal tube moves toward the capped end. As I squeeze harder and harder, both
continue moving farther in the same directions. As I release pressure the water and air column begin returning to their original positions.
** Length of the air column in units of your measuring device: **
I chose the one on the first page that is reduced to about half the size of a regular ruler. It is small enough to be more precise, but not so small that you can't read it well.
** Your report of the vertical position of the first mark relative to the water surface of the first mark, the length of the air column in units of your selected measuring device, and the two meniscus positions observed with each of your five trials. **

I measured from the capped end to the middle of the meniscus and subtracted.
** Your report of the vertical position of the second mark relative to the water surface of the first mark, the length of the air column in units of your selected measuring device, and the two meniscus positions observed with each of your five trials. **

The first number is the measurement using the reduced paper ruler from the water surface to a mark on the vertical tubing. The next number is the length of the air column of the horizontal tubing from the capped end to the meniscus. The next 5 set of numbers correspond to the positional change of the meniscus when increasing the pressure by 10cm.
