The wind would need to be coming from the west to get the aircraft to veer toward the east. Initially the plane would fly north east.
• If the wind keeps shifting so as to remain perpendicular to the direction of motion what path will the airplane follow?

If the wind kept shifting so as to remain perpendicular to the direction of motion, the airplane’s path would continue to shift in a clockwise direction.
