The air column in the end of the tube obviously got shorter when the bottle was squeezed.Can you estimate by what percent it got shorter? What was its length when the squeeze was on, as a percent of its length when the squeeze was relaxed?

I think it was 25 cm with no squeeze and 20 cm with squeeze on.

This means it was 80 % of the unsqueezed length

Paperclips have been placed around the curve, about half on the inside and about half on the outside of the curve.

How could you use this picture to estimate the percents requested above?

I could measure a paperclip and then calculate more closely how much it moved.
