** Your average time interval for 20 time intervals **
0.151315789
I got this by copying the data in excel and using the average function to compute this number
** Your frequency distribution for the 20 time intervals (interval, number of times it was observed) **
0.125,2
0.140625,6
0.15625,7
0.171875,4
** Your general comment to this point **
OK
** Why did you observe only certain time intervals? **
The timer probably reported that so frequently because it probably records its values at certain intervals and the click happened closest to that interval.
The timer program is not flawed or useless, but that was the best it could record when trying to record a millionth of a second
** What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals? **
It seems like the finger was clicking faster than the one before it and then on some of them the finger was a little bit slower. This tells us that the timer program is very quick to respond to the touch.
** Your time intervals for 7 complete breaths: **
4.453125
4.4375
3.796875
3.4375
3.625
3.625
3.484375
4.21875
3.71875
** Your general comment to this point: **
I think that my breaths were not as deep because they are way off of yours
** Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice? **
Becuase our clicking was much more spread out and our breaths were not the same as the one before. The timer had time to catch up with the click. When you are doing a rapid click it is almost very fast for the timer to keep up so it just picks a few numbers that are close
** Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ... **
Letter D, the TIMER program is capable of determining the time between two events to within about .0001 seconds
** Copy of a few lines of your spreadsheet from the TIMER program. **
