answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :
the first acceleration is .2m/s^2 since Vf = 10/8 = .8*2= 1.6m/s then you take the 1.6/8= .2
the second acceleration is .8m/s^2 since the Vf= 10/5 = 2 *2 =4m/s then you take the 4/5 = .8
so the avg. rate of change is (.2+.8) / 2 = .5m/s^2
