I was going to take a practice test before i go and take the first test, but i read through the questions and to me they dont make alot of sense. I dont understand what the questions are asking for and they arent anything like the practice problems we have done in all the assignments. So if you could explain like how to do the first problem i would greatly appreciate it.
Problem Number 1
Give an example of a situation in which you are given a, Ds and Dt, and reason out all possible conclusions that could be drawn from these three quantities, assuming uniform acceleration. Accompany your explanation with graphs and flow diagrams. Show how to generalize your result to obtain the symbolic expressions for v0 and
a is acceleration
`ds is displacement
`dt is time interval.
So make up a situation in which you are given these quantities, and analyze it.
For example:
Possible accelerations could be 2 m/s^2, 15 cm/s^2, 980 cm/s^2, etc. Any acceleration would be fine.
Possible displacements might be 300 meters, 120 cm, 5 cm, etc.. Any displacement would be fine.
Possible time intervals might be 3 seconds, .02 seconds, 30 seconds, etc.. Any time interval would be fine.
However the units of your choices should be compatible. For example, don't use an acceleration in m/s^2 and a displacement in cm.
Suppose you chose acceleration 50 cm/s^2, displacement 200 cm and time interval 10 sec.
What then would be your reasoning process for analyzing this motion?
