8.2 problemsIn some of these problems, when I typed them out, the first line always capitalizes the letter, that is why I put “little a” or little b to not be confused with the actual A, B, and C.
@& No problem. However note that if you type your problems into a text-only editor it will represent your characters as you type them.*@
9. B= 45 degrees, C= 95 degrees, c= 5
A + B + C = 180 Degrees
A + 45 + 95= 180
A= 40 degrees
Sin B = sin C
a c
little a = 5 sin 40 degrees/ sin 95 degrees
little a = 3.23
Sin B = sin C
Little b c
Little b = 5 sin 45 degrees/ sin 95 degrees
Little b= 3.55
10. A= 45 degrees, B= 40 degrees, c= 4
Sin A = sin C
Little a c
Little a = 4 sin 45 degrees/ sin 95 degrees
Little a = 2.84
Sin B = Sin C
Little b c
Little b = 4 sin 40 degrees/ sin 95 degrees
Little b = 2.58
12. B= 30 degrees, C= 125 degrees, b= 10
Sin A = sin B
Little a b
Little a = 10 sin 25 degrees/sin 30 degrees
Little a = 8.45
Sin C = Sin B
Little c b
Little c= 10 sin 125 degrees/ sin 30 degrees
Little c = 16.38
15. B = 40 degrees, C = 100 degrees, b =2
A + 40 + 100= A = 40 degrees
Sin A = sin B
Little a b
Little a = 2 sin 40 degrees/ sin 40 degrees
Little a = 2
Sin C = sin B
Little c b
Little c = 2 sin 100 degrees/ sin 40 degrees
Little c = 3.06
18. A = 50 degrees, C = 20 degrees, a =3
50 + B + 20 = 180, B= 110 degrees
Sin B = sin A
Little b a
Little b = 3 sin 110 degrees/sin 60 degrees
Little b= 3.68
Sin B = sin C
Little b c
Little b= 4 sin 60 degrees/sin 50 degrees
Little b = 4.52
21. A= 110 degrees, C= 30 degrees, c= 3
110 + B + 30= 180, B= 40 degrees
Sin A = sin C
Little a c
Little a = 3 sin 110 degrees/ sin 30 degrees
Little a = 5.64
Sin B = Sin C
Little b c
Little b = 3 sin 40 degrees/ sin 30 degrees
Little b = 3.86
23. A = 40 degrees, B= 40 degrees, c=2
40 + 40 + C= 180, C= 100 degrees
Sin A = sin C
Little a c
Little a = 2 sin 40 degrees/sin 100 degrees
Little a = 1.31
To solve for b, I did the same thing except used Sin B/b and also got b = 1.31.
24. B= 20 degrees, C= 70 degrees, a= 1
A + 20 + 70 = 180, A= 90 degrees
Sin B = sin A
Little b a
Little b = 1 sin 20 degrees/sin 90 degrees
Little b= .34
Sin C = sin A
Little c a
Little c = 1 sin 70 degrees/ sin 90 degrees
Little c= .94
25. a= 3, b= 2, A= 50 degrees
One triangle. B = 30.70. C= 99.3
27. b =5, c= 3, B = 100 degrees
One Triangle. A = 43.8, C= 36.2
