5.78 cycles, 354.4 cm, 60.96 cm, 2.05 m/s
10.75 cycles, 389.8 cm, 30.48 cm, 3.78 m/s
16.6 cycles, 425.28 cm, 5.08 cm, 6.80 m/s
350 cm
This data shows that the cycles per second increased as the tension of the string increased. I got these numbers by taking ten/time to complete one cycle, and then I did distance/#cycles/s then / 100 to get it into m/s for wave speed.
** Your calculation of wave speed based on the count of cycles is not bad, though I believe there is one flaw.
However you need to do an independent measurement of pulse speed, actually timing pulses in the indicated manner.
Please take a few minutes to do this, insert your information into a copy of this document, and resend. **
&& I re-did this part of the experiment and from my best estimates, when the string was loose I could counted three pulses, for the medium tension I counted five pulses, and for the most tense I counted nine pulses.&&
Over what time interval were the pulses counted?
What therefore are your pulse speeds, as based on these counts? Include the details of how you obtained pulse speeds from these counts and from other information about the chain.
Pulse speed is the speed with which the pulse moves along the chain.
The distance from the bottle to the candle 96.52 cm and the distance from the bottle to the book is 5.84 cm and the bottle is 10.16 cm in diameter. I got these by lighting the candle and placing it at a distance, then measuring, then I moved the book back and forth in order to see when it was the most focused.
The distance the bottle is form the candle is now 24.13 cm. Now the book to the bottle is 10.7 cm.
light to bottle 17.78 cm, bottle to book is 13.2 cm,
light to bottle 12.7 cm, bottle to book is 17.2 cm,
At 6.35 cm of the light to the bottle, I could no longer get a good vertical line.

Except for the direct measurement of pulse speed, your work is very good. See my notes and please respond as indicated.
You still haven't obtained an independent result for pulse speed. See my note and please insert the requested information, using the same annotations as before.
