@& It is possible to do this course by studying the text and doing the labs, and reading the posted Class Notes.
You need to do the labs because a passing lab average is required, and the lab average is part of your final grade; and also so you will understand the situations to which many test problems refer.
The qa's, queries and other parts of the assignment aren't strictly required. Officially these things count as something like 10% of your grade, but I won't penalize your grade for not completing them. However I do recommend that you read through them and make sure you understand everything.*@
