Assignment 0

course Mth 272

Professor Smith, I went through orientation, as you probably noticed since you sent me my Access Code. Thank you for doing so and also for your patience and consideration with my situation. I attached assignment #0, which I had completed earlier this semester.

I've removed your identifying information; remember not to identify yourself within the body of your submissions.

You also copied your access code incorrectly. Usually this causes your work not to be posted. I happened to catch it this time; however you need to be sure you have the correct information every time.

1. If you earn 154.9823 dollars in 11 hours, at what average rate are you earning money, in dollars per hour?

To determine the average rate of earnings per hour, I divided the total earnings of 154.9823 dollars by the amount of hours worked, which was 11 in this case, and received the amount of $14.0893. This would be the average amount of earnings received per hour.

2. If you travel 116.9053 miles in 9 hours, at what average rate are you traveling, in miles per hour?

To receive the answer to this problem, you would need to divide the total amount of miles (116.9053) by the amount of time (9 hours) traveled to determine how many miles were traveled per hour. This would give you the breakdown of the distance traveled for each hour until you have reached the current status of 116.9053 miles. The final answer to this problem is approximately 12.99 miles per hour.

3. If a ball rolling down a grooved track travels 48.73081 centimeters in 9 seconds, at what average rate is the ball moving, in centimeters per second?

To determine the answer in this situation, you would need to divide the overall distance that the ball traveled (48.73081cm) by the time it took to complete the route (9 seconds) to come up with the amount the ball traveled per second in its course. By dividing the total distance by the time, the answer gives you the equivalent distance that the ball traveled per second. In this case, the ball traveled approximately 5.415 centimeters per second.

4. If you are earning money at the average rate of 66 dollars per hour, how much do you earn in 8 hours?

To determine the amount of money that will be earned at the end of an 8 hour time period, you need to take the amount that is earned per hour, which is 66 dollars and simply multiply that by the total amount of hours worked, which is 8 hours in this situation. By multiplying the two figures together, we receive a total of $528.00.

5. If you are traveling at an average rate of 75 miles per hour, how far do you travel in 6 hours?

If you travel 75 miles per hour, and you wish to know how much you will travel in 6 hours in total, all you need to do to get the total distance traveled is multiply 75 by 6 because you will be traveling 75 miles each hour that you travel, and if you travel 6 hours, you will be traveling a total distance of 450 miles.

6. If a ball travels at an average rate of 42 centimeters per second, how far does it travel in 10 seconds?

We will take the distance (42 centimeters) that it takes the ball to travel just one second and multiply that by 10 seconds to determine how many centimeters the ball will travel given this amount of time. If you multiply 42 cm by 10 seconds we will get the answer 420, and because we are looking for the total distance, we will say the ball traveled 420 centimeters in the amount of ten seconds.

7. How long does it take to earn 183.9925 dollars at an average rate of 21 dollars per hour?

To determine the amount of time it will take to earn the desired amount of 183.9925 dollars, we need to consider that we are earning 21 dollars per hour. So we need to ask ourselves, how many hours, given we are earning 21 dollars each, must we work to earn the desired amount? By dividing the amount of 183.9925 by 21, we receive an answer of approximately 8.76. If we work 8.76 hours, while earning 21 dollars for each of those hours, we will earn close to 183.9925.

8. How long does it take to travel 98.46438 miles at an average rate of 15 miles per hour?

To determine the time it will take to travel 98.48438 while traveling at a rate of 15 miles per hour, we need to divide the total desired amount of miles traveled (98.46438) and divide it by 15 because this will give us a figure showing that every 15miles, we travel a certain amount until we have reached at least 98.46438 miles. So let’s divide this amount by 15 and we get approximately 6.566. This is the amount of time it will take to travel 98.46438 miles by moving at a rate of 15 miles per hour.

9. How long does it take a rolling ball to travel 26.29359 centimeters at an average rate of 7 centimeters per second?

The answer to this problem is found similarly to that of question number 8. We simply take the amount of distance the ball travels (26.29359) and divide that by the average speed which in this situation is 7 centimeters per second, and we come up with the figure 3.756227143. To simplify we answer some, we will round to 3.756 and conclude that it takes approximately 3.756 seconds for a ball to travel 26.29359 centimeters, when moving at a rate of 7 centimeters per second.

&#Very good responses. Let me know if you have questions. &#

however note that you have not completed the Orientation, which has eight steps. I believe you have completed Steps 1, 2 and 3. You need to complete the rest in order to know how to find your assignments, submit your work, etc..
